Alchemy Explanation & Template!

Alchemy and Alkahestry:
Alchemy is the act of breaking down and reforming matter by using natural energy. As magical as it sounds, it is separated from the supernatural by one main law: in order to create something, something of equal value must be lost. Alchemy requires both a complete knowledge of chemistry and natural talent, making alchemists extremely rare. Not everyone in the FMA universe uses alchemy, just like not everyone uses magic in Fairy Tail and Haki in One Piece, and you are more than welcome to make casual people living ordinary lives who just get caught up in the grand scheme of things, just like Winry or Hiyori.
Alkahestry looks a lot like alchemy from the surface, but differs in its explanation: while alchemy claims to have roots in the energy from tectonic shifts, alkahestry claims to rely on the chi of the earth. Similar concepts, different belief system. However, this difference allows alkahestry to become more medicinal, while alchemy focuses more on the material. Even in the myths the difference is apparent: while alchemists seek a philosopher’s stone, those who practice alkahestry seek the elixir of life, the key to immortality and eternal youth.
Here, alchemy (and alkahestry) can be used for insignificant tasks, such as fixing a radio, with no mana drain or limitation, provided this is not done in combat. When registering your alchemy, you are registering a specific type of transmutation, such as flame alchemy. These transmutations are your character’s go-to transmutations for combat, such as making a spear from the metal in the earth, transmuting your automail into a blade, or even manipulating the concentration of oxygen in the air then creating a spark to ignite said oxygen. Normal alchemists require a transmutation circle; however, if your character attempts to transmute a human, regardless of success or failure, then they gain the ability to transmute without a written circle, creating a circle with their body instead. However, this ability comes at a cost, and anyone who performs human transmutation will lose something of their body that suits their crime. For example, a son who just wants to hold his mother’s hand again would lose his hands, or someone who just wants to speak to their friend again would lose their ability to speak. In order to achieve this alone, a thread of 10 posts with at least 150 words (or just 1,500 words) is required, though if you are performing the transmutation on a playable character, the post count goes down to 5 posts per player.

Transmutation Name:(This doesn't have to be said by your character to transmute, but its nice to name them so you can identify them easily!)

Duration:(How long it lasts)
Cooldown:(Must be at least one post longer than the duration)
Description:(What's it look like? How does it work? How long does the transmutation take? Does your character need to use a written circle? Area of Effect/Range? Anything else?)
